Epidaurus

According to Greek mythology, Epidaurus was the birth place of Asclepius, the god of healing and son of Apollo. By 4th century BC, it became an important centre for healing in the ancient world.

Today, it is the Theatre which is drawing the visitors. It is one of the best preserved  structures from classical Greece, having been built 2,500 years ago and protected beneath layers of earth for centuries.

This Theatre is famous for its acoustics. Apparently, if you strike a match at where I am standing (which is the centre of the stage) it can be heard by people sitting in the highest row (55th row)
