I walked around the parliament area since my flight was at 7.00 pm.

That was my trip to London in September 2015.  It won't be long before we will be in London again as we have booked our flight to  London in January 2017. This time we will take the Eurostar  train to Paris.

Natural History Museum

Natural history is the study of organisms and natural objects and their origin, evolution and interrelationship.



A 26 m skeleton of the dinosaur  Diplodocus




The museum is divided into 5 categories : botany, entomology, mineralogy, paleontology and zoology. The museum is a world-renowned research centre.

The museum was formerly part of the British Museum and was known as British Museum (Natural History) and only became an independent museum with its own trustees after the passing of the British Museum Act 1963.

Thames Barrier

The Thames Barrier is a unique flood control structure on the River Thames at Woolwich Reach in East London. It is 520 meters wide and protects London against storm surges and rainfall swelling.



It is just two minutes walk from the Pontoon Dock Station

Exploring the East London again

After my breakfast in the hotel, I started exploring East London again.

After a long walk around East London, I went back to Earl's Court and had my dinner at the King of Teck again.

The O2

I spent the rest of the day walking around East London before going back to Earl's Court for dinner




My lunch in London

I reached London and checked into my hotel at about 3 pm.



My lunch was simply a ham hock & extra cheddar cheese sandwich and milk which I bought from Sainsbury


Last day in Exeter

I had breakfast in the hotel then took the train back to London

St Olave Church

This little  church was founded as a chapel by Gytha (mother of King Harold) in 1053.











This church was dedicated to St Olaf, a Viking king who converted to Christianity.
