We had dinner at this restaurant beside the Ponte degli Scalzi. We decided to eat here since there is a nice view of the canal.

Waterbus from Murano Faro to Station Ferrovia Gare

We took the ACTV Line 4.2 back to the hotel. This line goes around Venice clock wise. It was a long way home.

We saw many cruise boats along the way

You don't need to pay extra for a cuise if you travel by the waterbus

The cruise boats also travel on the same route

Murano

Murano's became the centre of glassmaking in the 13th century when the Venetian Republic ordered all glassmakers to move their furnace to Murano for fear that fire will destroy the city's mostly wooden buildings.

Cathedral of Santa Maria dell Assunta

Founded in 639, it is the oldest building in the lagoon. The mosaic here dates from the 12th and 13th centuries which is the earliest in Venice.
