The Vieux Port (Old Port) is the social and cultural centre of the Marseille. It used to be the harbour of Marseille but now serves as a marina. We walked along the old port to Cathedral de la Major.

We saw this restaurant on our way back to the Old Port and decided to have our lunch here.

Cathedral de la Major
The foundation stone of this cathedral was laid by Napolean III in 1852 and the building was completed in 1893. The size of this cathedral is equal to St Peter's Cathedral in Rome. It is the last cathedral built in France.

We took the little train down to the old port. We then walked to Cathedral de la Major.
