Tomb of Tutankhamun

This is certainly not the grandest tomb in Egypt or occupied  by the most powerful rulers. It is the most famous because unlike other tombs it was found mostly intact. The treasures are now  in the Egyptian Museum.

If a small tomb of a relatively minor pharoah contained so much treasures then one cannot imagine the treasures that were found in the tombs of the other more important pharoahs before being robbed  by the tombs robbers.

The mummy of King Tutankhamun is now on display here inside a climate-controlled glass box.
