Hagia Sofia

The Church of Holy Wisdom was completed by Emperor Justinian in 537. In the 15th Century, the Ottomans converted it into a mosque and the four minarets were added.

The Byzantine mosaics can still  be seen in the interior. Here, the Virgin and Child, flanked by Justinian I and Constantine I.
