Remembrance Day 11.11.2012

Remembrance Day (also known as Poppy Day) is a day to remember the members of the armed forces who died in the line of duty. A service was held at the Westminster Abbey. This has again disrupted our itinerary as we have to come back again another day.

We wanted to walk from here to Trafalgar Square passing the Horse Guards, No.10, Downing Street and Cenotaph but the Whitehall was closed because of the procession and ceremony held at the Cenotaph. So we took the tube from Westminster changing at Embankment to go to Charing Cross Station.
