This fairy-tale castle was built in 1869-1886 by King Ludwig II. He followed the style prevailing in the Middle Ages but the castle was equipped with the latest technology of the day. This castle has inspired the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland. Visitors can only visit the castle on a guided tour. We regret that no photography is allowed inside the castle (except the balcony). You can see the photos at Schloss Neuschwanstein website.
