St Martin's Cathedral

Utrecht was the most important city in Holland until the Dutch Golden Age when it was surpassed by Amsterdam. The Domtoren in Utrecht is the tallest church tower in Holland. The tower was part of the St Martin's Cathedral when it was built in 1254. The nave of the church collapsed and the tower has stood on its own since.
