Pyramids of Giza

Giza became the royal burial ground when Memphis was the capital of Egypt nearly 5,000 years ago. The pyramids are the sole survivors of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and are the world's oldest tourist attraction. Our plan was to go to the panorama view point first and see the three pyramids on our way back to the Sphinx.

We arrived at Giza at 9.30 am

We hired a horse cart for EGP800 per hour

The panorama view point is a distance away from the entrance

You can pay for a short ride for photos

We took a horse cart as it will be too far to walk. Taking the horse cart is better because it is faster and more comfortable. Egyptian camels have a small body and long legs. Mounting and dismounting a camel can be dangerous.
