Mosque of Sultan Hassan

Our tour of the Islamic Cairo began with the Mosque of Sultan Hassan. The mosque was built between 1356 and 1363 by Sultan Hassan. during the Mamluk period.

But he was murdered and his body was not recovered so his two sons were buried here instead
