Cappella degli Scrovegni

We made this trip to Padua specially to see this chapel which forms part of a World Heritage Site in Padua. The interior of this chapel is entirely covered with frescoes painted by Giotto between 1303 and 1305. Giotto is regarded as the father of western art.

The frescoes tell the History of Salvation in two paths. First, The Life of Christ and The Life of the Virgin and secondly, of the Vices and Virtues. Please refer to Wikipedia for a very detailed explanation of the frescoes.
