This Jantar Mantar is the largest and best preserved of all the five built by Sawai Jai Singh I. Completed in 1734, it is a World Heritage Site.

The instruments here were intentionally built to large scales as it was believed that it would increase their accuracy. It also allowed observations to be made with the naked eye.
