A Torii is a traditional Japanese Gate commonly found at the entrance or within a Shinto Shrine or a Buddhist Temple. These gates mark the entrance to the sacred precincts of a Shrine. The Torii are usually made of vermilion-painted wood. Some are made of stone and concrete.
