This temple is dedicated to Vishnu and Dewi Danu, the goddess of Lake Batur. The original temple was destroyed by the Mount Batur eruption. Some parts were relocated and rebuilt here in 1926. This temple together with 3 other sites were named World Heritage Site in 2012
