The Divinity School

The Divinity School was built between 1424 and 1483. This room is called the Divinity School because Theology or Divinity was taught in this room and examinations were held here from the 15th century to the 19th century. Divinity along with Law and Medicine were the main areas of studies at the University.

The Divinity School is considered a masterpiece of late-Gothic architecture

The bosses on the ceiling bear the initials of the individuals or coat of arms of the family who funded the building
