Plaza Mayor

Plaza Mayor (meaning Main Square in Spanish) was the centre of old Madrid. The square has hosted markets, bull fights, executions, coronations and the Spanish Inquisitions. The square was established in 1617 and is surrounded by three storey buildings on its four sides.
