Verona

Its centre contains many magnificent Roman ruins, second only to Rome itself.

The town serves as an open air museum

The Venetian Lion marks the inclusion of Verona into the Venetian empire in 1405

We had our lunch at Piazza Erbe. The statue in the fountain dates back to Roman times. It serves as a reminder that this piazza has been used as a market place for 2000 years.

We visited Juliet at her house at No. 27 Via Cappello. Romeo is said to have climbed to Juliet's balcony here.

Do not forget to feel her breasts for good luck before leaving Verona.
