Qian Ling

Mausoleum of Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu Zetian of the Tang Dynasty is the only shared Mausoleum in China. This is not surprising as Empress Wu Zetian was the only woman to have ruled China and thus was entitled to be buried with her late husband in his Mausoleum.

The Spirit Path is flanked on both sides with statues of animals, officials and foreign envoys.

Foreign envoy from Malaysia?

A statue of an official.

61 statues of the foreign envoys at the end of the Spirit Path are now headless. One reason I read was after the fall of the Tang Dynasty, the foreign states did not want their envoys to continue to stand at the Mausoleum and thus decapitated their statues to erase any references to them.

A Blank Tablet with no inscription was erected in honour of Empress Wu Zetian. This is very unusual as a tablet will be erected at the Mausoleum of each emperor to describe the achievements of the emperor. One reason given is because Empress Wu Zetian believed that no words can describe her great achievements.
