Rialto Bridge

Completed in 1591, it remained the only bridge to cross the Grand Canal until 1854. One of the first places in Venice to inhabited. It has a busy fruit and vegetable market and a fish market

Few visitors leave Venice without crossing the famous bridge

We had our dinner near  the bridge and took the water bus to circle the island before stopping at our hotel.
