We went straight to the abbey upon reaching Melk.

Mitte to Melk

We took the U-Bahn from Mitte Landstrasse to Wien Westbahnhof. The train to Melk departs from Westbahnhof and takes about an hour, with a change at St. Polten.

We took two escalators up to the train station

This cafe is also opposite our hotel. We came here for breakfast. We will visit Melk Abbey today.

We then took the S-Bahn to the hotel.

We bought sandwiches for dinner at the station as it was late 

Bratislava to Vienna

 We took the train back to Vienna.

Tram No 1

We took the tram from the Centrum tram stop to the train station.

Jesuit Church

The church was  constructed in the 17th century. It belongs to the jesuit Order.

Konditorei Kormuth

This konditorei has a 16th to 19th interior. Cakes and coffee are served on historical porcelain. There is a minimun charge of €13 per person for a cake and a hot drink. Essentially, we paid to experience the atmosphere and setting of this konditorei.
