Tomb of Columbus

Christopher Columbus (1451-1506) was an Italian explorer. He has completed four voyages across the Atlantic to the Americas.

His tomb is held by four bearers representing the four kingdoms of Spain during Columbus' lifetime

The kingdoms were Castile, Leon, Aragon and Vavarra

Columbus died in 1505 and was buried in Valladolid, Spain

Even after his death, his body made a voyage to the Americas to Santo Domingo
 (present day Dominican Republic)

His body was moved to Cuba when Spain lost control of Santa Domingo

His body was returned to Seville when Spain lost Cuba

A traveller in life and in death, I doubt Columbus wanted to travel so much after his death. Let us pray he can rest in peace now and that Spain will not lose control of Seville!
