Sainte-Chappelle

Sainte-Chappelle was built by Louis IX in mid 13th century to house the Crown of Thorns. It has been hailed as one of the greatest architectural masterpieces of the western world.



The Lower Chapel was used by the servants and commoners



15 stained-glass windows serve as the wall of the Upper Chapel



Each stained-window is 15 m high
