Old Jewish Cemetery

This is Europe's oldest Jewish cemetery founded in 1478. The Jews were not allowed to be buried outside the ghetto and the dead had to be buried on top of each other  up to 12 layers deep. It is estimated that more than 100,000 people were buried here.
