The Hermitage Museum

The Hermitage  Museum has the largest repository of art in Russia. It occupies several interconnected buildings on the Palace Embankment: Winter Palace, the Small Hermitage, the Old Hermitage, the Hermitage Theatre and the New Hermitage.

One must cover a distance of 14 miles in order to see the entire Hermitage collections which are on display in the 400 rooms and halls. If you stop in front of every exhibit for a minute and spend 8 hours everyday in the museum, it will take you almost 15 years to see the entire collections.
