We knew that taking public transport to go outside of Beijing would be difficult. We booked a driver and car (10 hours/day) for 2 days. We went to the Eastern Qing Tombs on the first day (CNY1300) and the Ming Tombs and Mutianyu Great Wall (CNY1100) on the second day.
