This was our first stop on the Slea Head Drive. The beehive huts can be found all over County Kerry, The exact age of the huts is uncertain. They are estimated to be built between 8th to 12th centuries AD. The huts are drystone dwellings built without mortar by corbelling (a technique where flat stones are placed overlapping inward over one another until a roof is formed)
