The temple has been hanging here for more 1,500 years. How is it possible? The temple is supported by 27 cantilevers; not just the stilts. They were inserted deeply into the cliff. The design and position of the temple also helped in its preservation. It is located at the concave of the cliff which protected the temple from rain and falling rocks. The high position avoided the risk of flooding.
