Our first port of call is the Residenz in Wurzburg. We took the tram in front of our hotel. The Residenz was completed in 1744 and was made a World heritage Site in 1981.
We started the day early as we only had one full day in Wurzburg
Missed our stop. We had to cross the road to take the tram back

The Prince-Bishops of Wurzburg resided in the Mareinfberg Fortress before this palace was completed. They built this palace because they wanted something befitting their status as monarchs
