Built in c1473, it is the oldest bridge across the Main. Like Charles Bridge in Prague (https://slsongtravel.blogspot.com/2011/11/charles-bridge.html), it continued a tradition that had begun in Rome with the Angel Bridge (https://slsongtravel.blogspot.com/2010/07/castel-sant-angelo.html) in the 18th century.
