We have bought an Intercity Express (ICE) train to Wurzburg on line before leaving for Germany. The price was €17.80 each. The disadvantage of the Deutschland Ticket is that we were unable to travel long distance on a high speed train. The earliest DB train to Wurzburg was at about 4.00 pm.
