Temple of Kom Ombo

This temple was dedicated to two gods: the falcon god Haroeris and Sobek, the local crocodile god. Thus, the temple is symmetrical with two entrances, two halls and two sanctuaries. The construction started during the Ptolemaic period in the 2nd century BC.
