Temple of Karnak

The Temple of Karnak was known as Ipet-isut (Most Perfect of Places). It was the most important place of worship during the height of the Theban power.

The Great Hypostyle Hall. There are 134 towering papyrus-shaped stone pillars here. This Hall is large enough to contain both St Peter's in Rome and St Paul's Cathedral in London.
