Da Guan Pavillion. At its entrance hangs a 180 characters couplet written by Sun Ranweng during the Qing Dynasty. It is the most valuable cultural treasure of Yunnan. The first part of the couplet describes the beautiful and magnificent natural views around Kunming. The second part reviews the 2000 years history of Yunnan by commemorating its rulers and their victories but indicating that all will end in nothingness eventually.
