London's most famous department store began in 1849 when Henry Charles Harrod opened a small grocery shop nearby on Brompton Road. Harrods now occupies a 5 acres site and consists of 7 floors and 330 departments with more than 5000 workers.
Harrods used to be the store that anything you could think of was for sale.
