Mareinkapelle

This Gothic style church was built in the 14th century. It is a chapel by status despite its size as it does not have a parish.

Neumunster Kirche

This church was built on the burial site of the St Killian and his fellow Irish martyrs, St Kolonat and St Totnan. It was built in the Romanesque style in the 11th century and later rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 16th century.

Wurzburg Cathedral

We continued our walk towards the Cathedral. It is also known as Dom St Killian since it is dedicated to St Killian. The earlier church was destroyed and this church was rebult in 1040. It is the seat of the Bishop of Würzburg and has served as the burial place for the Prince-Bishops of Würzburg for hundreds of years.

We arrived at the rear of the cathedral
