The Jungfrau together with Monch and Eiger are the most distinctive sight of the Swiss Alps. The Jungfrau is part of the Jungfrau-Aletsch area which has been declared as a World Heritage Site in 2001. The Jungfraujoch railway station is the highest in Europe at 3,454 m above sea level.
