Potala Palace 3

We descended tha palace from the west entrance. Visiting the Potala Palace was a Big Tick off our bucket list.

A devout Tibetan prostrating on the road

Tibetan prostration is a distinctive Buddhist practice in Tibet. It is an act of pilgrimage towards a holy site such as a monastery, temple mountain or lake. Many pilgrims have prostrated over 1,900 km to Lhasa which took them one to two years. Their devotion certainly earned my respect.
