Tanah refers to land and lot refers to sea and together they mean "temple on land in the sea". The temple sits on an island about 100 m from shore and is accessible only on foot at low tide.
There are rows of shops leading to the temple
The temple was built in the 16th century
It was high tide
We made the mistake of not checking the best time to visit
Be sure to come early morning or late afternoon during low tide
