Harrods

London's most famous department store began in 1849 when Henry Charles Harrod opened a small grocery shop nearby on Brompton Road. Harrods now occupies a 5 acres site and consists of 7 floors and 330 departments with more than 5000 workers. 

Harrods used to be the store that anything you could think of  was for sale.

Afternoon Tea at Harrods

We wanted to take our children to experience afternoon tea at one of London's finest. We have been to Fortnum & Mason and this time we chose Harrods. (https://slsongtravel.blogspot.com/search?q=fortnum) Do not confuse afternoon tea with high tea.

Our trip to London this year was to attend our son's graduation at Imperial College London. We spent our time in London with leisure walkabouts since we are so acquainted with London. Our emphasize  now is looking for the best food. We wanted to complete our visit to Florence, Pisa and Venice as there are many places which we did not see on our first visit. We also visited Milan, Siena and Padua. We then took a day trip to Oxford and a driving tour of the Cotswolds.
