Grindelwald is a village located at 1,034 m above sea level. It is an ideal starting point for excursions to the Jungfrau region such as Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald First, Kleine Scheidegg, Lauterbrunnen and Wengen. We knew that the cable car to Kleine Scheidegg will be closed for maintenance when we prepared our itinerary. But it was unfortunate that there was no train service to Lauterbrunnen from Grindelwald.
