The Campo deli Miracoli was proclaimed a World heritage Site in 1987. It consists of the Baptistery, Duomo, Camposanto and the (Leaning) Tower of Pisa. They represent the best of the Pisan Romanesque architecture.
The three buildings have been considered central to religious life by reppresenting the stages of human life. The Baptistery represents birth, the Duomo life and the Camposanto death. The Tower is actually a bell tower of the Duomo.
