Ramses IX was the 8th Pharaoh of the 20th Dynasty (1129-1111 BC). He was probably the grandson of Ramses III.

KV denotes King's Valley and the number 6 represents the order in which it was discovered
Ramses IX praying to Khonsu
Ramses IX on his journey through the underworld on a barge with the gods
My favourite Egyptian god, Min

We visited this tomb first because it is situated at the beginning of the valley. It was crowded. So we decided to see the tombs at the end of the valley first and work our way back to avoid the busloads of morning crowd. This strategy worked as the crowd usually visit the cluster of tombs at the beginning of the valley.
