This temple is dedicated to the Hathor, the Goddess of love and pleasure. She is represented as a woman, a cow or a woman with cow's horns and a sun disc. The main temple structure started during the Ptolemaic Period and completed by Roman emperor Augustus who became a pharoah of Egypt.
