Tashi Delek Tibet

We have just completed our tour of Tibet in September. We have always wanted to visit Tibet. It is often referred to as the Roof of the World. We were worried about whether we will have altitude sickness as Tibet lies on a high plateau of more than 4500 m. We took iron supplements a week before flying to Chengdu and Acetazolamide a day before we go to Lhasa as advised by our doctor. Thankfully we did not sufffer any altitude sickness apart from the initial discomfort on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway (Qingzang Tielu) train to Lhasa.

Visiting Tibet was a big tick off our bucket list.
