Cock Lane

The ghost story of Scratching Fanny originated in Cock Lane in 1762. The apparition of Fanny made scratching noises and knocked on the walls to answer questions relating to her cause of death.

Ironically, it was also the only place where the city's prostitutes could live.

Walking along Cock Lane
(no sign of any Fanny)

This is the second Cock Lane which I came across.

There is not much to see here. I would not recommend this place unless you really have no place to go

St Bartholomew-the-Great

This church was founded in AD 1123 by the monk Rahere. It claims to be the  oldest church in London. St Bartholomew was one of the Twelve Apostles.
