The Chain Bridge

We took the tram back to Castle District. At the foot of the hill is the Chain Bridge.

The Chain Bridge was built between 1839-1849 and was the city's first permanent bridge across the Danube. The bridge extends 380m and supported by two towers. It was regarded as an engineering feat at the time.

This church was established in 1926 for the Pauline order of monks. The church was closed by the Communist regime in the 1950s and was only re-opened in 1989.

Gellert Hill

We ended up at the foot of the Gellert Hill, which we intended to go after visiting Castle District. We decided to walk up the hill since we were there.

Tram to Castle District

We took the tram to the Castle District. At the foot of the hill is the funicular station. We then realised that we did  not have enough money and decided to look for a teller machine.

So we hopped into another tram to see where it would lead us.
