Northern Lights at the hotel

The 23rd day of March 2025 was certainly a good night to see the Northern Lights in Kerkenes. We were glad that we were at the right place at the right time (Credit must be given to Connie for her research on the best place and time to see the Northern Lights). We could see the Northern Lights from the terrace of our hotel. We have learnt that weak Northern Lights are very faint and can only be seen in photograghs. We were very lucky that we could see the Northern Lights with our naked eyes. 

The sky was dark

Northern Lights will light up the sky

Each burst of the Northern Lights will last less than a minute

The Northern Lights will start strongly and then slowly fade away
