Eiger Express

Eiger Express travels at a speed of 29 km per hour over a distance of 6.5 km and to an altitude of 1,385 m. The total travel time is just 15 minutes.

Grindelwald Terminal

There are two ways to Jungfraujoch. Either you take the cogwheel train from the Terminal up to Kleine Scheidegg and change to the tunnel train up to Jungfraujoch OR you take the Eiger Express cable car up to Eigergletscher and change to the tunnel train up to Jungfraujoch. We opted to take the cable up and the train down. This way we got to see two different views of the mountains.

Breakfast at the hotel

Today we will go to Junfraujoch. We will take the bus to Grindelwald Terminal (since there no train service to Grindelwald) and the cable car then train up to Jungfraujoch. Thereafter, we will take the train back to Zurich.

Harder Kulm

Harder Kulm is at 1,323 m above sea level. We could see Interlaken sitting between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun from above and the peaks of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.
