The Medina of Fez is a World Heritage Site. The Medina was established in 808. It reached its peak when it replaced Marrakech as the capital of the kingdom in the 13th century before the capital was finally moved to Rabat in 1912.

Our guide led us into the labyrinth of streets, lanes and narrow alleys of the Medina. We couldn't have managed it ourselves without getting lost.
